Flameless Candles--what works best for illumination??

Our wedding venue does not allow open flame, so in addition to the lanterns available at the venue (it's a barn) and the twinkle lights we are hanging, I would like to use flameless candles inside of mason jars. 

Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of flameless (votive or tea size) candles illuminate brighter than others?

    If they specifically don't allow "open" flames (not "all flames"), you can use real candles inside the mason jars. Our venue has this restriction too. All candles have to be enclosed in some sort of vase/holder. Mason jars would work.

    No flames at all.  My concern is that the flameless candle inside a jar may not be as bright as a real one.  I am looking for ideas on the flameless types that may be brighter than some.  I am 100% on board with using the jars.

    No LED candle will quite match the brightness of actual flames.

    I bought a case of LED flicker candles from the Dollar Tree and I had them in faux mercury glass jars that I made and they seemed to work pretty well.  The Other thing that you can do is use mirrors and rhinestones- real not the faux kind that are just faceted metal- to help reflect light from your LED candles and elsewehere.

    Mirrors are critical. They are typically used with traditional candles to increase the effects of the flames.
