David Bridals

I am planning on buying my dress in David Bridals. Can anyone tell me their experience with David Bridals and how are they with alterations etc. and how are their prices? Thanks any feedback would be great.

Re: David Bridals

  • If you are on a budget, David's Bridal can be good.  Their prices are often much cheaper than other dress stores.  They also have a large selection of dresses to try on.  Unfortunately I didn't care for any of them though.  Instead, I went to Park Ave Bridals in Verona.  Wonderful store and wonderful staff and most importantly, wonderful dress!

  • Alfred Angelo is another great stop.  I purchased my dress from them at their Signature Store in Cherry Hill.  It is quite the drive, but I find their customer service to be above David's Bridal.  The good thing too is that most bridal stores do carry Alfred Angelo dresses so you don't have to travel that far if you don't want to.  The bonus of going to the Signature Store is that they have pretty much all of the AA dresses in stock to try on, whereas bridal stores might only have half that.

@emy41867 - I paid about $1300 for my dress.  They may have had cheaper dresses, but I think I gave my initial budget to the saleswoman around $1500-$1800.   She listened to what I wanted and pulled 5 dresses....I think it was the 3rd dress that I loved.  I honestly hated everything at David's on me.....they were all too frumpy looking on me and plain.  I also went to a boutique salon but it was hard to envision how a dress would look because most samples didn't fit me properly (street size 12).  It was a sad and depressing experience until I went to Park Ave.  Not sure what you're budget is, but you can always call and ask the range of prices.
  • I actually just bought my dress at David's Bridal last week! I had an appointment scheduled with another boutique in PA but my mom suggested making an apt at David's just to get an idea of what I liked and didn't like. I wasn't expecting to fall in love with a dress but I did! The best part was it was on sale for $699!!! My consultant was great and really listened to what I liked and didn't like. I have heard of some people having bad experiences at David's but I think it all depends on who your consultant is.
