Shoes?

So the groom and GM are wearing matching black suits. The question is should they all be wearing matching black dress shoes? Or can they get whatever kind of bIack shoes they want. I have a hard time asking people to spend money so I hate to be like "now you have to buy these shoes after you just bought a 100 dollar suit". What do ya'll think?

    I don't think they need to be matching black shoes, but I don't think they should wear just whatever kind of black shoes they want.  They should wear black dress shoes, the kind they'd wear with a suit.  I imagine most adult men already own that kind of shoe, but if not, maybe find a tuxedo rental place that will rent just the shoes?

    Our GM are 23, 21, and 24 years old so i'm not sure what they have or do not have. I know my FI feet are ever growing, he has already out grown a pair from last year and he's 23 years old. So I'm sure they have some but maybe not any current ones.

    I think if they do not already own a pair of dress shoes that it would be a great investment for all of them. They will have more wedding to attend and job interviews to go to.The shoes do not need to be expensive though. They just need to look nice.

    OP- FIs feet are still growing?! I did not know this was normal for a man at 23. I am so used to the way my FI and his friends are. Feet stopped growing in high school or just after. Although they all reached their full height about 22/ 23. My fiance did get a little bit taller after I met him almost 9 years ago.

    I don't know that we'll ask our groomsmen all to wear matching shoes, but it seems like it would make sense that they wear dress shoes with a suit. Or you could let them go non-traditional and all wear converse or something . . . looks cute in other people's wedding photos.

    Erol- Yea we have been together since high school and then he was about 6'1" and wore a size 11 to 12 shoe but now he is 6'3" and wears a 13 shoe and sometimes thats to small.
    I love the converse idea. I have tossed tha tide around alot.

    The guys (FI, BM, 1 GM, 1 RB) are wearing  black cowboy boots.  Girls (1 MOH, 1 BM) are wearing black dress pumps...I will be wearing cowboy boots!  FI is 6'3", I'm 5'3" and we like to dance and I can't dance in heels so we decided to both wear boots.
