Help me, baby mamas

Diaper size for 8-10 pound baby? Making a diaper cake for a baby shower tomorrow.

Re: Help me, baby mamas

  • Size 1.

Newborn size will probably be too small.
  • size one. any of the brands.
  • Okay, thank you.  I couldn't really figure out the difference between N "up to 10 pounds" and 1 "8-14 pounds".
  • Another vote for size 1.  DS was 9 lbs at birth and wore 1 from the get-go.

Anyway, you can always err on the bigger side, because they'll eventually grow into them.
  • I recommend 2's for the base layer, if you need more than one pack.

Babies start leaking out of 1's out of nowhere.  Have 2's on hand are nice so you're not making an emergency trip to the store.
  • go with size 1 or even 2. Unless they have a preemie, the baby won't be in newborn sizes for very long, if at all.
  • I actually found a square shape diaper cake that I'm trying this time, so they all can be the same size. which is nice, cheaper, and less work than the round ones I've done in the past.  I actually really like the look and am hoping I can find some actual Winnie the Pooh ribbon (I've totally left this until the last minute, so I'm getting whats on-site @ Michael's).

I've helped make them, just never actually bought the supplies myself so I was at a loss.  And the aisle is....overwhelming.  :D

LOL - whatever size you purchase you'll be fine!!

(The little guy didn't make it 4 days before he needed size 1's - kid's bladder was HUGE! - I highly recommend the 2's or even 3's because by the time the fog of the first month is lifted that'll be the best chance to get them into diaper rotation)..
