Best wedding websites?

Guys, I am sorry--I know we've had threads about this before, but TK's search function is total ass.

Who has had a good experience with their site? FI wants to handle this since he gives infinitely more fucks than I do about the aesthetics (I will definitely be checking the content for etiquette and grammar, though). I've heard people aren't in love with The Knot's platform, but what others are out there? Any tips to make things easier?

If anyone has used a platform that is particularly customizable, I know FI would enjoy that.

Thanks!

  • I used TK's. It served its purpose.

  • I'm using Squarespace. It's ok, I'm not crazy about using it, and I don't think it's super user-friendly, but it is way more aesthetically pleasing that TK and we got a custom URL (ex. www.mynameandhisname.com). I have to admit, it does look really nice once I finally got used to using it.

Ditto. I enjoyed the "fill in the blanks" aspect. Easy to use, reminded me of stuff to include, easy to delete sections I didn't want.

Same here. Since most of my day is spent handling social media/web content, I had zero interest in doing anything beyond the basics for our wedding site. Fill in the blanks, delete sections and pages we didn't need, and done.

If it were up to me, I'd do it that way, too. A certain someone is going to have to get on the ball soon if he wants it to be as perfect as he wants...

  • I used weddingwire. I liked the layout better, and it was somewhat customizable. Plus, free.

  • I used mywedding.com - a lot of design options, and the same idea of use the pages you want and not the ones you don't. Plus, again, free.

FI used weebly. I'm not sure whether he made it from scratch or using a template. He's a huge web design geek so he loved having the opportunity something he loved instead of something for a client.

ETA: And he did a great job! Weebly worked out well for the sleek look he was going for.
