AW - I have a dress!

So I posted a couple weeks back about how much I hated my first dress shopping experience. A few of you said to try a boutique since DB wasn't the best place.

So I went to a boutique that my cousin used to own. And this dress was the first one I tried on. I lovelovelove it.

I'm going to get a TARDIS blue satin ribbon to go around as a sash. I'm so happy!

Yaaaay. It looks so pretty on you. I especially love the idea of a Tardis blue sash. We're doing Tardis blue as one of our wedding colors, so I'm biased.

I am actually thinking about skipping it now that I've looked at the pictures (and paraded around unnecessarily in it at home....). I love it as it is. But ribbon isn't an expensive investment, and I imagine I'll need a lot of it anyway so that's something I can likely decide day-of if I want to.

Thank you guys. I haven't felt that pretty in a long time. I'm so happy with it.

Beautiful! It was a little hard to see, but was that a corset back? If so, you could have the tardis blue as your tie. I agree with Joan that I think a belt would not go with that dress so well since the ruching (sp?) is not straight across.

No, it's a zip back, so the tie option is out. I tried it with a royal blue scarf in store, but I honestly was too overwhelmed to be objective. It looked so pretty both ways to me, haha. BUT I was smart enough to take a picture with and without the scarf, and I do find myself twitching a little with the angled parts clashing with the straight-across sash. Maaaaaaaybe I'll try it at an angle to match the dress's angles??? I've got time to experiment - I'll have it for a while before I have to start looking at any alterations.
