Secrets Punta Cana?

We're looking into Secrets Punta Cana because it's the cheapest and we're hoping to keep it under $5,000 for 7 nights (which is completely doable there).
Has anyone been there? Are there fun excursions to go on/is it nice?

    We have done Punta Cana but not Secrets.. we stayed at the Colonial Majestic in the adults side with a swim up suite (this included 4 bottles of liquor in our room, a butler, priority check in with food and champagne, and access to the clubhouse with free wifi).. I booked through costcotravel.com and got 7 nights all inclusive for $3300 (this included flights from the west coast for both of us). We had a blast, we did a zip line tour and went golfing two days, the rest of the time was just relaxing in the resort and on the beach. Have fun!!!

    I stayed at Zoetry and Breathless in Punta Cana...not Secrets, but they are all owned by the same company. Both resorts were amazing, We didn't end up going on any excursions, but there was so much for us to do and plenty of places to just relax when we wanted, that we didn't feel the need to. 
    Not sure when you are looking at going, but we were there at the end of June and the weather was absolutely perfect! There was one cloudy morning, but the sun came out by lunchtime. And it didn't rain once!


    We are doing Secrets Maroma Beach for our honeymoon. 7 nights in a preferred swim out and its costing just under $5100 including flights
