    Maybe it's just my mood today (I'm having a weird one), but I don't know why someone went through the trouble of making that fake invite. If someone were irritating me that badly, I'd happily ignore them and put my thoughts and energy into the people in my lives who are wonderful and supportive.

    This has nothing to do with Novella or OP, just the people who made the invite in question. Unless it's some joke I missed?

    @hellokb it says the original bride was abused by her parents and ran away when she was 16. She hadn't had contact with then since but they were bullying other family members to get an invite.

    As the wife of someone with a fucked up parent (wifey's mom...threw her out at 16), I get being angry enough to make that invitation.

    Rando annoying coworker? Water off a duck's back. Shittastic parents...little harder.

    Yeah, @hellohkb, as someone with asshole family members who have repeatedly harassed me about wedding invitations related to my abusive, manipulative mother (which is extra hilarious since we're not inviting ANYONE), I can totally get where this came from and why it probably felt so fucking good for this bride. 

    I would absolutely love to send an un-invitation like this to my mother, sister, and grandmother. I won't, because thus far I've taken a hard line of no communication, but it would feel incredible.

    Eta please note I was thinking incense scents not candle scents... I've never actually seen a Dragon's Blood candle. Probably because it stinks.
