Just stop! (NWR)

A friend of mine and his wife are expecting a baby in a few months.  Yay!  Babies are wonderful.

But, they keep posting their Amazon baby gift wishlist on Facebook.  As in at least twice a day.  Each of them.  And his mom (who I am also Facebook friends with).  And each post asks people to like or comment on the post so more people will see it.  Now, I know they just moved to a new state about a month ago and it's likely that no one will be throwing them a shower because they don't know many people there.  But still, this is a bit excessive.

Worst part, however, there are literally 12 items on the wishlist.  Twelve.  And it's all onsies and burp cloths and such.  I do intend to buy them a baby gift, so I checked out the list. Aside from the rudeness of the Facebook blitz, I'm not sure why they have been circulating this so widely for several weeks when there is barely anything on it.

Time to block them from my newsfeed temporarily....

  • When one decides to have a baby, one has 9-ish months to prepare for the offspring to arrive. This is excellent time for the people who will raising the offspring to prepare for said offspring. Saving money, buying things on sale, ect.

Not whoring out your wishlist so other people will buy shit for your kid.

Wifey and I are trying to make a small offspring. Know what we're also doing? Saving money, looking into how much baby things cost, getting the fuck ready. We are not making the rounds begging for baby shit.

  • Oh my gosh!

You'd definitely better take them off your newsfeed now. Can you imagine how many pictures and nonsense they're going to post when Junior actually gets here?
