Want to get married by a lesbian non-Christian...any suggestions/reviews?

Hi loving knot family,

We highly desire an officiant who is lesbian and non-Christian. It doesn't matter if she is a believer, she just can't be a Christian. I personally would prefer an atheist, but I'm willing to compromise if her combination of sexual preference and non-Christian religion is particularly ironic (e.g., Jewish lesbian is ok, Southern-Baptist lesbian is not).

Any knowledge of a place to find this type of officiant would be highly valued.

I would prefer that her sexual preference is more evident than not (i.e., I would prefer someone more butch than lipstick). But I'm open minded and will take a lip-stick, if she's willing to announce her sexual preference to my guests.

A Buddhist lesbian would be very acceptable, or a Wiccan...but again, if I had my choice, she'd be atheist or at least agnostic.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Love,
VegasCalling

Funny I actually don't think she is a troll. I just think she thinks she is being clever. She is so smart.

I am, in no way, trying to be a troll or clever.

We just want to get married by someone who defies everything that our culture has dictated is acceptable.

Any suggestions of officiants meeting the aforementioned terms would be highly valued.

We're just two non-traditional mostly-heterosexual people in love, and want to give a nod to those who have defied the unfortunate prejudices of our culture, esp. those prejudices inherent in our dominant religion.

    Thank you.

Isn't marriage itself uniquely mainstream and conformist?  I would think your pseudo-protest of the 'system' would be better noticed in a city whose existence is not based on American corporate profit...

I am also not one for Christianity, so I'm having a non-denominational ceremony. No need to be so in-your-face and confrontational to those who have those beliefs. It's your wedding, not a protest. If you're so against what society wants you to do then I don't even understand why you would want to get married. Just sayin

Everything you utter sounds like a rueful, teenager-like insult. Good luck having your troll-ish questions answered around here.

Now wait a minute....hold on. We really do want to be married by a lesbian non-Christian....

How is that being confrontational or in-your-face? That's like saying people who want a Buddhist monk officiant are being confrontational to Christians in the audience.

@ thatxogirl: Quite the opposite, I find it invigorating! :)

It sounds like you care more about being shocking or ironic than you do getting married.

Not to mention, and perhaps this is just me, but if I were what you are looking for, I would be a little miffed that you cared more about my personal beliefs than the services I offer.

Maybe you should ask a friend that fits this criteria instead of questioning every officiant in Vegas about their sexual preferences.

Are people really getting sucked into this post? Why waste any time answering or even reading this stuff when the OP has proven themselves (in nearly every post) to be a sh!t stirrer. Thanks for trying to liven up the board OP, but that'll do now.

I am a black Christian and by no means must I have a black officiant when I wed in Vegas. If I were having a civil ceremony, the officients sexual preference wouldn't matter to me

@specialjune: You might not care about the ethnicity of your officiant, but do you care if he or she is Christian? Do you care about the gender of the officiant? Or is it ok if you are married by a female atheist?

My point is that many couples seek certain personal qualities about their officiant. So the personal qualities we are seeking in an officiant aren't really any different than any other couple's desires.

    I'll play...

I would venture to guess many people getting married in Vegas just care that their officiant has the ability to marry someone legally.  You don't have to have specific beliefs to say Christian words.
