Indian Trail Club, Franklin Lakes?

Hi everyone!! I just got engaged last week and I'm not actively planning yet. However, FI and I have been to 11 weddings since we started dating, many of them in Northern New Jersey, where I'm from. A family friend had their wedding at the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes in September 2013 and it is my favorite venue I've seen. I was wondering if anyone on the board had or will have their wedding there and what they thought of it? My main concern is what they do in case it rains, since the ceremony area is outside and the cocktail area is semi-outside.

    Hi!

    They were on my list to check out, however, they were going under renovations and I was scared to book something and not fall in love with the room. Have you seen the room post reno?

    I saw this yesterday and this is my fear too - the renovations won't be completed until October 2015 and we want to have the wedding in September 2016. Definitely too late to wait to see it before booking. Have you booked a venue? I liked this place because of the beautiful outdoor ceremony space and awesome food. Are there any places in the area you would recommend? It's still definitely a contender, but I'm also looking at other country clubs such as The Knoll.

    My wedding was at the Knoll and it was amazing! There was a ton of food and it was all delicious. We did our ceremony outside on a gorgeous spring day. I highly recommend them. Everything was perfect. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions.
