Any facilities you can rent that will let you bring in your own caterer in the Hampton Roads area?

Good morning all,

I've been researching reception venues for the last couple of weeks and still feel like I haven't narrowed my choices down.

At first I was going to have the reception at a hotel but, then I found a caterer with reasonable prices and would really like to use them and just rent a facility but, it also needs to be able to accomodate 250-300 people seated. Also preferably near hotels.

Please help!

most of these are on the peninsula, and i am not sure of how many people they will hold, but you can bring your own caterer

The pp listed the Yorktown freight shed, but I just wanted to let you know that will not hold 200-300 people seated. I believe it holds 130 seated for banquet and reception functions....just an fyi....

We are having ours at the Khedive Temple in Greenbrier area of Chesapeake, so its right down the streets from all the hotels they've put up across from Greenbrier mall. You bring in your own everything though they supply the tables, and they have a kitchen for any food prep your vender needs to do. Its a huge space, and I mean HUGE! The pictures are of it set up for a dinner they were having...you can kind of see the dance floor on the second picture, but its a large dance floor. They will set up round tables for wedding receptions. For the amount of space you are getting its really rather decently priced but you have to supply your own vendors, linens, and liqour license. Its located at 645 Woodlake Dr. and the number is 420-4510.
