My farkin' office was closed today and I called too early and thought we were open.  I'm going home soon though; it's still raining ice and snow, and I don't have much to do.

One of my favorite new comics is Bitch Planet.  Everyone should read it, it's amazing.  One of the illustrators is going to be at a comicbook convention near me.  I might go so I can shake his hand and get his autograph.  It's a story about the future where the world has finally been overtaken by patriarchy once and for all; the "fathers" run the government and non-compliant women are sent to a prison planet, known as Bitch Planet.  The writer made the rule that unless specified, all characters are defaulted to black; all of the characters have astounding different body types, which is played up by the fact that the prison warden is a holographic character of the "perfect woman" and each comic is ended by a feminist essayist.  It's pretty much the best thing ever for me in comics.

I also need to get something else finished for a campaign I'm volunteering for, so I could use the time at home.  .

Re: Things

  • Ugh, let me guess -- people being shitty about trans people using bathrooms for their true gender?

  • Mine:

Min, and I are going to The Walking Dead convention this month. We both love the show, yo.

I wear my favorite black shoes to work way too much. People are going to start thinking they are my only shoes. They're so comfortable.

I'm planning a summer trip with some friends, and their budgets do not meet their expectations.

Min!?!  I haven't thought of her in ages.  How is that lady?  I'm glad to know she's alive.  :)  Don't share just say she's alive, because I know she left because of some shenanigans.

@thejucheidea  Yep. My little city finally added sexual orientation and gender identification to our protected classes.  I had watched the first city council hearings and that's the first time I heard the bathroom argument.  I felt like such a damn idiot, b/c I didn't even understand what they were talking about when they said it, I had to ask someone else.

TBH, I thought this fight was going to be far more acrimonious than it has been.  I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.
  • Oh and I can't stop laughing b/c of the difference between $76,000 and a flier.
  • I'm tired of getting calls for work scheduled at 8 am my time, rescheduled to later on. I hustled to get the kids ready and at daycare so I could be there and ready only to find out 2 minutes later that they were going to move it.

My best friend and his husband are trans, so I've heard pretty much every shitty thing. It's extremely disappointing.

I am getting walls everyone.  I AM GETTING WALLS.  *dancing in chair*

I will have privacy again.  :)

Why can't I find a meme or gif of Rachel Green talking about getting an office "with walls and everything.  I'm gonna have walls!"?

This is all I can find.  It's in the last 15 seconds.
