Gift from people not attending the wedding

This week we have received two gifts from couples not attending the wedding; one check and one off our registry. I'm working on their thank you notes now, and am wondering how to close... All the other TY notes, I've ended with "FI and I can't wait to celebrate with you in April!" Clearly that isn't going to work here, but it feels weird to just end with "Thank you again!"
Am I over thinking?

  • Over thinking.

    "dear aunt Betty,

Thank you so much for your generous gift. We are saving up for a house and the will help us reach our goal. Thanks again!

  • "We look forward to seeing you both again soon."

  • I just got a thank-you note from my friend for a baby shower gift. It was like

    Dear Novella,

Thank you so much for the gift! I can't wait for you to meet baby!

I thought it was really nice. No need for a well-scripted novel ;)

  • "Thank you for the gift! It's so kind of you to think of us on this special occasion."

I generally used words to that effect.

Since we had a very intimate wedding, the majority of our gifts were from people not invited to our wedding. I generally wrote something like:

    "Dear Person,
Thank you so much for your generous wedding gift! We look forward to [how we will use the gift] and your thoughtfulness has brought us so much happiness during our special day!

Thank you for celebrating with us!
    Jenny and DH"
