Anyone see this

This is such a win.  Why is everyone so hung up on what bits someone has?  I bet this woman would have felt differently if the lady with the man parts had gone through surgery (not that I'm suggesting that she should, or should even want to).

Awesome! PF did mention that a big reason they revoked her membership was because of the ruckus she made, but it's still great that she got the boot. That was humiliating and disrespectful on all levels for the poor woman in the changing room.

People are so fucking stupid. Like, I'm sure you've changed in front of transgendered or queer people before and didn't even realize it.  I'm not sure what special snowflakedness people consider their bodies to be when they're fearful that everyone feels some sort of perverse attraction to them.

A lot of campuses are adding transgendered restrooms. Of course my family has some sort of issue with this. Why? I use them all the time, because yay more restrooms and really it's just a single stalled bathroom.

Exactly. It would be one thing if she complained that there was a man in the woman's locker room. But once PF personnel said that person was a woman (transgendered or not, it's not really that complainers business) she should have dropped it.

I love that the woman called it a safety issue. No, bitch, bigots like you spreading your stupidity and hate is the safety issue.

This quote from her is also great:
"I feel it's kind of one sided," Cormier said about the policy. "I feel like I am the one who is being punished."

Yeah you did a shitty thing and now you have a consequence. Welcome to being an adult.

A lot of times the women's room would be safer than the men's room for transgendered people. So yes it is a safety issue, but not for the cis women.
Seriously! Her argument for not wanting the transgendered person in there was the safety issue and I was just thinking, "How the fuck is that not safe to you, lady?" Like... what? That's not a valid thing. Just come out and admit that you're [lady in the article] a narrow-minded discriminating bigot and let's call it a day.

    THIS!

And really, I've defended gay but cis men who needed to use the ladies room because the men's room wasn't safe for them.  Unfortunately public restrooms can be scary places for people who aren't hetero-normative, and those of us who are need to learn how to be tolerant of that.

I tried, I really did, but after about seven of them I felt as though my IQ had decreased enough to make further reading fruitless.

I read about this too. I'll never understand the entitlement of some people. If I was part of this gym, I would be happy the loudmouth bigot is gone. I mean I don't know about anyone else, but the last thing I'm worried about in a locker room if someone is transgender or not. I'm more worried about feeling gross.

My guess is this woman just made an excuse about it being unsafe, and her real reason is that she is intolerant.

And honestly, I've used the men's bathroom a couple times. Though no men were in them at the time. One time I had to pee so badly and there was a line for the woman's room and no one in the men's room. Sorry, not sorry. And another time the men  and women's rooms were individual bathrooms but whoever was in the woman's room was taking forever.

    Agreed.

And I'm sure we've all used the mens' more than once for similar reasons.

I was at the beach once when the women's bathroom had a huge line and the men's had none. So my ex escorted me to a stall in the men's. I covered my eyes on the way in and out, but I peeked and saw 5 guys looking over their shoulders at me and laughing.

Seriously though, the bigot in this article needs a slap of reality. Even the word "tolerance" rubs me the wrong way. I tolerate my commute. I tolerate my downstairs neighbors that sit outside all day and smoke cigarettes. Intrinsic and non-harmful aspects of a human being are not to be tolerated, they are to be accepted.

I have too. I have done that multiple times at gas stations. If it's a stall kinda bathroom, it doesn't even matter. I walk in and out, no shame!

Ditto. When you gotta pee, you gotta pee. I don't give a fuuuuuck. And honestly, I don't pay attention to the other people in the ladies' room. It's not like I go from stall to stall saying "Hey I really need to see your vagina JUST to be sure." Nope. Don't care.

Yeah, I've never understood the BFD. Don't look at other people's genatalia.
