So my sister just told me her FIL slipped on some ice today and fractured his skull. He just moved from FL back to PA on WEDNESDAY. He didn't want to move back, but his wife (MIL) was home sick and wanted to move back. They were there a little over a year. I feel so bad for them. He had to be airlifted to another hospital. Doesn't help MIL doesn't drive. My sister is OOT with the youngest. So BIL is a little stressed. At least the 2 kids at home are in their teens (one drives).
Then I text DH about BIL's father. He then sends me back a picture of 2 fingers bandaged up. Apparently he cut the tips of 2 fingers. I asked if he needed stitches. Of course, he is ignoring me. In his defense he has a party starting in 30 minutes. It's actually a surprise proposal.
Yes, DH has on finger condoms, but still.
Oh and I went skiing today and started feeling ill. I've been in the bathroom most of the day.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
