You guys.... I'm not recovered from my friend's Saturday night bachelorette.
Sunday was horrible. I think it's the second most hungover I've ever been (or, I'm getting old, and the hangovers are just worse). I literally couldn't keep anything down all day, and felt weak because I couldn't eat.
So here I am at work. Luckily I woke up hungry and thirsty and I've been hydrating. I had cereal, coffee, and a breakfast sandwich. But I'm still hunched at my desk. Usually hydration and egg/cheese can help but .... gawd!
I'm thinking a pizza slice for lunch.
(ANNNND!!! I lost one of my favorite and not-cheap earrings. Maybe I'll turn the remaining one into a pendant necklace.)
Suggestions?

Re: What's your hangover cure?
I'm 21 but I hate hangovers so much. What I usually do is drink all the coffee, and eat some biscuits with jelly. If its lunch time, I'll try to eat any kind of pasta I can. Plus tons of water!
Water and aspirin. After years of drinking and trying everything under the sun to help with hangovers, drinking lots of water during and after drinking alcohol and taking a few aspirin before bed help me feel better the next day. That and a big, black coffee.
I find that I as I get older, I cannot drink as much as I use to and hangovers are so much worse.
To the bolded - H and I were both hungover yesterday. I managed to get up and around and felt okay by dinner. He rolled around on the couch and moaned ALL DAY and I swear you would've thought he was dying from the way he was acting. He hurt so bad.
Either McDonalds breakfast or if I wake up too late for that then Taco Bell.
Lots of water, Gatorade, sleep, hot showers and self- hate.
Okay so two things I use to do in college based on theories that are likely not true:
1. chug a beer when you wake up. I have heard that hungovers are basically your body going through withdrawal and a beer helps ease the process. It worked in college. But I was younger and stupider then.
2. Drink pedialyte. Like the stuff for babies. It replaces lost electrolytes which is another reason why you feel so terrible. Works every time. But it tastes really salty.
Coconut water or gatorade for electrolytes
Bananas for the potassium
Eggs for the protein and amino acids
Tomato Juice or V8 for the antioxidants
Water water and more water
I also tend to crave fruit salad when I'm hungover - lots of watermelon
in particular which again helps with hydration and the sugars in it help
me feel energized without the crash I would get from eating say a
doughnut instead.
Note: I don't eat these things altogether. But I'd probably have a banana, a spinach omelet, and coconut water for breakfast and a V8, a handful of almonds, and maybe fruit salad for lunch.
Fast food breakfast with a big diet coke. Immediately followed by a large blue powerade.
I have also heard that pickles work. Something to do with the acid. I haven't tried it though.
