I had to do a whole other AW because seriously you guys, this project has CONSUMED my life and my weekends since the end of January. However, I'm SO GLAD it's done. This crossed off some major things on my home to-do list that have been pending ever since we moved in.
And the results!
Our sitting/"dining" room. This room had a light floral print wallpaper, and I could've lived with it I guess. It was the worst of the rooms to do though! They had the old-fashioned style wallpaper that you have to roll glue on for first and THEN put up the paper. So I literally spent hours scrubbing glue off of the drywall (because they didn't prime the walls before gluing either). I left the baseboards the same color (kind of tan) and painted the upper walls in Sunset Nude. Also, I finally got to put up my new canvas prints of me and H from the wedding!

Room number two - Our kitchen! The wallpaper here was a lovely whimsical print full of butterflies, fishing poles, flowers, and bird houses. Wtf? ANYWAY, the paper and glue came off easily enough (with some elbow grease and a steamer and buckets of water) but we had to do tons and tons of drywall work in this room. There were tons of major flaws and holes in the walls plus they had apparently had wallpaper up BEFORE the wallpaper we took down, and never did any prep work in between. We also replaced our kitchen faucet! YAY! I painted the beadboard La Fonda Antique Red and the upper walls the same Sunset Nude as the dining room.

And the final room! Our foyer had LOVELY dark green and red stripes with floral print. This room took the least work to do, but it was still a pain in the ass because of tight spaces in between some door frames. I'm super happy with the final look. We still need to replace the overhead light though, but that's a short 10 minute project for later this week. I painted this room in a taupe color called Cincinnatian Hotel Hannaford.

Next on the home project docket:
We're supposed to get our sod installed tomorrow but it may be delayed a week due to rain.
H needs to finish putting up the vapor barrier in our crawlspace.
AND that's it! At least until next winter anyway. I'm avoiding any major remodel projects until then.
