Re: Free Food Friday

  • I like this kind of FFF thread.

I haven't decided what to eat for lunch because I just finished a box of Goldfish crackers. So probably nothing until this afternoon when I sneak away for a frozen yogurt.

  • That all sounds heavenly!! My coworkers got me some mini cupcakes and I can't stop eating them because I'm justifying in my head it's okay because they're mini...so I'll probably have a really late, light lunch to compensate.

  • was too lazy to cut up lettuce for my salad last night so I foraged in the work kitchen and am having a bagel thin w/ cream cheese and gold fish crackers.  I'm sure a snack will be in my future
  • Craving muffins today. Dunno why. Going really strong in the month of March with watching my diet and working out more at the gym. Doing a good job.

Go into the kitchen at work this morning to put my lunch in the fridge and there are a dozen chocolate chip muffins on a plate, sitting there and looking up at me. Threw my lunch in the fridge and ran out! Hoping they disappeared when I go back in. :-|

  • I wish someone would bring something like that into my office. Yum!!

I'm going out to lunch. Our cafeteria has been sucking lately and making me queezy (questionable new chef).

Probably heading to my dive mediterranean place that makes the most amazing cheap pita wrap sandwiches. So delicious!

  • Somebody say free food?!

I went by Whole Foods on my lunch break to see about ordering a cake (of course the cake decorator is out sick today) and got lunch from the salad bar. Mmmm.

....I just remembered I was supposed to make my mom some cookies for a Free Food Friday work thing she had this afternoon. Oops. o.O

I dunno what I'm going to eat for lunch. Possibly going to the grocery store deli for lunch.

ETF my brain going Southern Gramma and calling lunch "dinner". Or something. What even, brain.

I love muffins.. That may have to be my breakfast tomorrow morning.

  • Ahh, cornbread!  I was just telling my coworker how I'm craving that today.  No free food for me today.  I'm just trying to figure out what to make for dinner.

I got the berry chantilly flavor from whole foods for H's birthday this year. AMAZING.

ahhhh... Berry Chantilly is THE BEST. It's been a while since I've had one of those from whole foods, now I really want one.

  • I brought a tuna sandwich, pretzels and an apple for lunch. My boss is here today and she usually orders in lunch for everyone so I'll have to see what happens..I was excited about my tuna but she usually picks a good place (and pays) so there's that..

    Can't turn down free food!

  • I cannot decide what I want for lunch, and I'm too lazy today to get up from my desk.
  • Turkey sandwich, fritos, thin mints, and a coke.

If I don't pack my own, I'm stuck with shitty cafeteria food or vending machine food.

  • I had a Marie Callendar's chicken alfredo type thing. It was soggy and tasteless. I want a re-do lunch.

  • My lunch was barfy. Ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and tomato from the food truck at my office, and NONE of it was cooked long enough. Bacon was super squishy, bread was still white, cheese wasn't melted. Hork. The tater tots were good, especially with horseradish dipping sauce, but I was disappointed that they were just standard grocery store frozen tots. I expected something foodie-r, KWIM?

So I spent $11 on tater tots.

EWW! I almost never order bacon on anything at a restaurant (even though I always want it) for this reason. It's almost never crisp like I like it.

We are also having a work potluck/party for lunch. All of the bosses are gone for the day so it's been a slow day. We're having chalupas. Just wish we could get some margaritas up in here!

  • Free food= the best food!

I'm not sure what I am having for lunch today. My coworker suggested bbq. That sounds good. It's kind of overcast today, though, so soup sounds great.

  • The other group in my office ordered pizza and it's on our shared kitchen. I might wonder over that and grab a oiece.
  • I had a bacon cheeseburger from the local grocery store deli.  Fresh, crisp bacon, crisp lettuce, and all the fresh toppings I could think of.  Yummy!

One of the perks of working in an extremely small town: the food is fresh and amazing.  :D

  • They're going with Giordanos deep dish pizza and it's torturing me..

  • We had a pre-pi day pie potluck. So I had two little sandwiches and A LOT of pie. Oof. Too much pie but it was so good!

Also it was sort of free? I brought pie so not really free, but I got to eat everybody else's pie too. So basically I had pie and diet coke for lunch. Where did my diet go? At least I don't have any leftover pie to take home.

  • We get breakfast in the office every Friday, so today I had a three-cheese crustless quiche (delicious).  Our intern also made an Arabic dessert with tapioca, shaved phyllo, and crushed pistachios which was amazing.

  • I actually didn't have to park 2 blocks away from my office for once so I refuse to move my car during lunch. So based on the vending machine selection lunch will be chili cheese fritos, a chocolate chip cookie, and Dr. Pepper.

  • Lunch was delicious.  Best Part:  Key Lime Cupcakes.
    image
  • Gyro!! and the best fries ever.  I need to watch myself though, my dress isn't gonna fit me if I keep this up.

  • Sushi.  Tuna and avocado to be exact.  It was really good.

Trying to decide on dinner.  Not really motivated to think of anything.
