Small veil, but not birdcage!

I am having a destination wedding ceremony and an at home "after wedding celebration" I will have a (knee length) veil for the destination day. For the celebration back home, I do not want to wear a full on veil, but I also dont want to just have a hair piece and I dont like the birdcage veil being all in my face. (no hats either)

I saw one photo of a bride a while back (and of course didnt save it or pin it or anything, so now I cant find it.) She had some sort of small veil piece right on the mid/back of her head, not even reaching to her neck and I really liked! I had never seen anything like it, although it was not at all some super crazy idea either, very elegant and simple! I haven't been able to find anything similar since then.

So, now i come to you ladies. Have any of you had a piece similar to this?

    Like that?

Personally, I'd skip it. Veils are very much a one and done thing in my opinion. I'd just wear a pretty headband and call it a day.

  • I like @novella1186 suggestions. TBH though, I would skip any veil for a AHR. It would feel out of place to me.

I seriously missed the entire AHR thing. Reading comprehension fail. I agree with this, skip the veil for this situation. It's not a wedding re-do, it's just a party. People don't wear veils to parties.
