Nails done on strip

Hiya, I've been thinking about booking for me, my mum and my sister to get our nails done the day of the wedding. Can anyone recommend somewhere near the MGM signature?

Re: Nails done on strip

  • I haven't found many nail places on the strip other than in the hotels at their spas. It is super pricy though. I plan on doing mine before I go to Vegas.

  • I think I am going to get mine done before I travel to Vegas as well - I am a big fan of the Shellac 14 day nails and whilst I've found 1 or 2 places who do them near the Strip, I would rather just get them done at my usual place before leaving the UK.
  • The places I did find though with good reviews are Diamond Nails and Blowout Dollhouse (hair salon but do nails as well)
  •   I got mine done with a basic pink gel that lasts 2 weeks before I left home, just in case I didn't have time. Sure enough, once we got to Vegas I just never found the time to have them redone to something fancier like I had planned.   I didn't want to take the time to go to a nail salon when I had so much else going on and so many friends and family to hang out with.

  • Thanks for the replys everyone, that's really helpful! I might not bother if it's going to be super expensive...I'll have a wee think :)
  • Polished is a nail place that I believe offers transportation to and from the strip. I've heard mixed reviews on their services, but I think people are generally pretty pleased. I'm not sure how their prices compare to the strip - Polished isn't cheap by any means.

  • I was planning on having mine done before we leave the UK with shellac. I am going to try and fit in a test of them as well at some point as I'm not allowed to have long nails or wear nail polish for work! Which is a big bummer! Although I have heard excellent things about people cleaning/digging in the garden with shellac on and it being perfect for at least a week if not longer.
  • Shellac is amazing, I have it done for every holiday we go on - it really does last. On holidays where you are obviously not cleaning or washing up all the time as you are not at home, I've had it last 4 weeks with perfect shine!

One thing I recommend is though, please make sure you research the salon you go to first. You do have to be trained to apply Shellac correctly and a lot of salons don't do the official training courses and buy cheaper versions of the CND products (CND are the owners/creators of it) I went to one near my house once and she dented my nail and didn't use the proper gel on my toenail and it was more like an actual paint! 6 months later I still cannot get it off my toes and am going to have to pay a chiropodist to file my nail levels away :-(

If you check the CND UK locater it tells you the actual salons who are qualified. Sorry to ramble on :)

@mrsptobeinvegas thank you so much for the advice! I had seen some of the horror stories on consumer programmes! There are some horrible businesses out there! We are hoping to go away in June for a bit so I think il take the oppertunity then to try it out
