Insert Question

I ordered our invitations before we were able to finalize the hotel for the room blocks. I also read that you don't need to include the room block information in EVERY single invitation, definitely for the out of towners. We have a wedding website, which I updated, but it is not a guarantee that guests will go on it.

My question is, is it okay for me to type up that information? I think on other posts I read that this is fine to do. If so, should I get nice paper, similar to the invitation stock to insert this information? Or is regular printer paper fine?

Or, should we just stick to word of mouth? We actually already relayed the hotel information to our parents, bridal party, and some other family members.

Re: Insert Question

  • I think I'd maybe do a little nicer paper than just regular printer paper, but I think it's totally fine to type something up and stick it in with the invitation.

Awesome, thanks! I guess I can get some nicer paper, then just print it out and stuff it in the invitation.

  • We got a wedding invite last year that was somewhat formal, printed on very nice stock. Inside was a little slip of computer paper that had been cut by hand, with hotel block info printed on it. I was appreciative of the info. Did not side-eye it or judge it, or think it detracted from the prettiness of the actual invitation, just cuz it was on simple computer paper.

Obivously nice paper is gonna look a little better, but I think you'll be fine :)

Thanks Novella! And you know, I feel that that is one of the little things people won't even remember afterwards, like tissue paper!

Yeah, honestly the only reason I even remember it is cuz 1. you just reminded me and 2. I remember thinking "oh that was nice of them to include!"
