Re: Bride Calls off wedding After Groom gets Math problem Wrong

  • I'd be a little more concerned if she bailed after he got something some sort of complex math problem wring, but basic math? I would wonder what else he lied about during the arranged marriage process.

  • Nope. Don't blame her one bit. Like, if it were more complex math (involving variables maybe, something that isn't required to buy groceries on a budget?) it'd be different. But I mean hell, a miscalculation that bad could have ruined my budget for a month or more in college. Tight budgets do not play well with poor math skills.

  • In many parts of the world marriage is more of a business contract. If you lie on a business contract then that contact doesn't work out so well.

  • I hope he wasn't joking . . . If his education was that bad with an arranged marriage and he had lied about it, a think that's a justification to not go through with it.  As @larrygaga said, it's like a business contract, and if he's lying already, he's just not trustworthy and shouldn't be rewarded with said "contract".

  • H is incredibly bad at math. He always asks me what to tip at restaurants. This is somewhat alarming, since I've always struggled with math as well.

But 15+6... hope he didn't mishear or something.

  • I just love how the other story featured in the article states how one groom got a seizure and was rushed to the hospital, so the bride decided to marry one of the guests.

Yeah I found that much odder than the math problem situation. Like, hey, I'm all dressed and the catering is paid for, any takers for my hand in marriage?
