Hi there! We are looking to have a small wedding for just under 50 people, we would like to either have the ceremony and reception at the same place or a courthouse wedding with small reception. We would like to stay between Philadelphia and Mays Landing as our family is between there. We aren't looking for a full reception, maybe just a short cocktail hour then a dinner. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!!

    Try the Camden County Boathouse.  They would be a perfect size for your event.  I would also consider restaurants that have private rooms.  You will probably be too small of an event for most of the typical wedding reception venues.  I would look into Maggianos in Cherry Hill (or Philly), Riverwinds in West Deptford, Filomenas in Deptford, Adelphias in Deptford, or Villari's in Sicklerville.

    When you call the restaurants, just say that you want to have a dinner for 50 people.  Don't make it into a wedding or they may jack up the price on you.  All of the above are pretty close to major highways, so they should be easy to get to.

    Also look into Haddon Fortnightly in Haddonfield, Gibson House in Evesham Twp, and other venues where you would bring in everything yourselves.

    Filomena's in Deptford would be perfect for what you are looking for.  We just spoke to them on Saturday about ours.  Their prices are reasonable, their food is delicious, and they can definitely accomodate your number of people.
