It's hailing. Ugh.  At least it's just pea size, but still...hail sucks. 

Another day, another cavalcade of BS at DH's job.  Of course it's the day before we're to leave town.  

I traded days off with a co-worker and I had to be working a half hour earlier than I normally do.  That half hour makes a huge difference.  So sleepy. 

DH is going to be at work extra late tonight.  I hope the rain breaks for a bit so the kiddo and I can get the car packed.

    Boo to the hail.  We got rain and it's really foggy right now.  We're supposed to have t-storms tonight.

    Son and DD2 are feeling kind of crappy.  She's got a low-grade fever and he's got a sore throat and they both have coughs.  Please don't let this be another round of strep.

    We lost our issue vote.  My heart is very heavy and very full.  We lost by only 854 votes.  And while it's painful, there's also joy.  There are 432 churches in this town of 250K people.  35 of their pastors signed a letter swearing to preach a fire and brimstone service on Sunday condemning equality for sexual orientation and gender identity population.  44 churches signed a statement that said that even if we could prove discrimination existed against the LGBTQ community, that wouldn't change their minds about making them a protected class.  Their bigotry was outed.  We can find 855 more votes next time.  These churches not going to pull this vast community that we've created down.

    Work today is going to be hard.  There's a support rally tonight that I'm looking forward to.  But I'm starting to question my decision to wear makeup today.  :D

    I need to vent this: I couldn't really give a damn about WWJD.  I'm so tired of the arguments between Christians about what is Christ-like and what isn't that I've had to hear for the last 6 months.  Here's a novel idea:  stop using WWJD as a voting methodology and be a human, caring, involved, and knowledgeable citizen of the world and reality.

    I totally agree Varuna.  I'm just...appalled that those pastors have publicly announced that they're actively going to preach hate and discrimination and probably in the next breath they're going to say how Jesus loves and accepts sinners and saints.  It's so infuriating. 

    The trainwreck that is modern Christianity, especially evangelical, pushes me closer to agnosticism.

    Ugh, I'm so sorry, V.  I know you and everyone else worked so hard.  Way to look on the bright side, though.  And yeah, that's a pretty narrow margin--I'm sure it would have been a lot bigger even just a few years ago.  Still, I'm sorry.  Just remember, you are unbreakable!image

    Another vote for "boo, hail."  We had storms overnight, nothing major, and it was pretty foggy this a.m. 

    Y'all, I love these kids, but I will be so happy when DS has enough vocabulary to actually say why he's upset, instead of just melting down.  I know, terrible twos, and I really do understand how hard it is to be him.  (You want to stay outside and blow bubbles instead of eating dinner?  Too bad.  You don't want to wear pants today?  Too bad.)  But man, his shrieking has a shrill quality that jangles my brain, it's awful.

    We're house hunting this weekend. I'm not looking forward to it.

    This baby is so low it feels like 1) someone has been kicking me in the vag for days on end and 2) like this baby is going to come out of my butt.

    I have no fucks left to give about anything these days. All I want is to sleep.

    Blergh.

    I'm bored, irritated, and cold (no idea why).

    I did go on a two mile run (well, let's call it what it is- a 60% walk/40% run) yesterday. Will probably do it today because the weather is lovely so why not.

    I'm annoyed because I have Old Navy Super Cash and I thought you could use two at once but you can't. I don't want that much stuff but I don't want to pay a lot for it. So we'll see what I decide.

    I have nothing to share except:

    I've participated and sent out 2 proposals that equal almost $2M in work.

    My brain is mush.

    IUD may be pulled tomorrow, or if AF rears her ugly head...that's a nope.
