Portable Air-Conditioner Rental

Okay, so my FMIL freaked out the other day and was worried that because our venue (the T-Plex) does not have air conditioning that it will end up being 110 degrees and the elderly people in attendance will pass out.

This got me thinking it might be a good idea to have a back-up plan in case the weather is looking extra wacky the week of my wedding (Sept. 1st).

I've been googling like crazy and can't seem to find any places that specialize in event air conditioning rentals - do any of you ladies know of anywhere? Have any of you already married women successfully used a cooling service for the day of your wedding?

Help! I'm getting all panicky thinking that guests are going to be super uncomfortable now.

<div>Yikes, I sure hope a 4-ton unit would be enough to cool an entire floor! Thanks for the link, I will have to get in touch with them.</div><div>

  • When I was considering T-Plex, Pat had me thoroughly convinced that because of the way the building was built, it was made for airing out hot weather because of the cross-flow of the windows. Pat says they don't build 'em like they used to. But Pat is also a very special person. At any rate, I think on Sept. 1 you'll be ok.

  • LOL...Yes, Pat is a very special person. Some days I absolutely love the woman, and others she is just making me crazy. EB, I don't think at this point we are renting A/C. FI works in construction, spoke to his good friends at Michigan CAT, they estimated that to cool the entire floor it would take a 20 ton unit. If it is extremely hot, we may rent a few small 1 ton units to keep everyone comfortable. I wish we had some input from former T-Plex brides!

  • This may be a little late.. I just did our cater inspection @ the T-Plex and a wedding was moving out, there were three 'Movin Cool's that were there. Pat mentioned that the air was fairley resonable. & this weekend was what 95 degrees?
I think we may try a AC unit & then the porta fans from Hotz rentals.

    Hope this helps?!
