Re: SHOE COLOR?!

  • Can they each get a shoe and have them match the color of their dress? DB had a good selection that can be dyed to match dress colors.
  • I'd go with a neutral color shoe. Any metallic or nude would be fine. As in, "Oh, you can wear any gold shoe" or "A nude pump will be fine"

I would not ask them to buy a pair of shoes and have them dyed to match their dress.

  • Yeah, I don't really want to mess with dyeing. I wanted them to match, and wanted to NOT do heels--because the reception is in a barn, and they'd get lost in the board cracks-- but I'm thinking I might just say, screw it, pick any copper/metallic shoe.

    Thanks :)
Pretty much the worst community I've ever seen. k bye
  • Metallic would look nice! They could do a wedge or thicker heel (or whatever style they feel comfortable in).
  • TBH, no one will notice their shoes. I'm sure they're all capable of finding shoes which will go with their own dress.

If you're requiring matching shoes, you should be buying them. Not making your bridesmaids purchase them. I think any metallic shoe would go well. Let them choose if they want to do heels or flats. Surely they're intelligent enough to know that they're going to be a barn and how to wear the proper footwear.

I agree with this.  I am guessing these individuals have dressed themselves for weddings before and have had no problem wearing shoes that coordinated with their dresses.  These are your friends feet and they all will prefer one type of shoe over another.  Just let them get what they want and trust that they will choose a pair of shoes that will go with their dress.
