I've actually contacted a photographer through The November Company. I've learned it's an all around production company located in Columbus. I found them through a Groupon but the owner and CEO has been hands on, really respectful and answers emails quickly. Their website has packages starting at $850 but the Groupon was $150 for $300 worth of photography. When I contacted him, he was in the middle of a photo session for a prom but still responded and was even open to talking to me later tonight. My only hesitation is that I cannot find any reviews on Wedding Photography (or reviews--I think it may be because "November and Company" can be found in a ton of articles--plus there's another November Wedding planning company in Kuiat!). He sent me some stills of 3 different weddings he did this year--they were well lit and nicely done. Then, he also offered me his "November Package" which included cinemetography for the entire ceremony, cutting of the cake and our first dance in addition to his services for $299 with tax. We are afraid this is too good to be true but his company is working with the NFL on a documentary and a new series for Netflix. He also has an assistant that sent over a proposal (which was in Word...) this evening outlining the services on our wedding date (which is 8.22.15!! Yes...we are planning a wedding a wedding in 4 1/2 months). He would be at our wedding for the entire time. He has a Facebook page and a legit website. So. Can anyone give me advice? I haven't gotten to speak with him on the phone yet. He is still even open to us using the Groupon which wouldn't include cinemtography--which would end up being $140 because Groupon is offering a deal for $10 off.
I'm so stressed about getting this all together. But, we cannot afford a photographer for the prices some of these people are asking. HELP!
