Good morning. Why do Mondays come so fast?

 

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty good. H and I spent a lot of time just relaxing which was awesome.

 

Yesterday I volunteered at the animal shelter and I had two people bring in their pets to be put down. Both pets were very, very old and suffering, so it was the right decision, but it was a really hard day. I definitely hugged my pets when I got home.

    I fucked up my arm somehow. Like big time. I can't lift it, I can't do my hair/shampoo... it's basically worthless :( It hurts so bad. I have NO idea how I did it either. I didn't work out, I thought that I slept on it wrong, but it's persisted into day 2 (today). So I'm giving it another day to sort itself out and then I'm going to do something about it.

    Other than that, it's a pretty good weekend. Just did some wedding stuff since the wedding is next week and that was about it.

    There really should be another day between Sunday and Monday! 

    I would have a hard time volunteering a the shelter for that reason. And because I'd want to rescue all the animals. Good for you for doing it! I'm sure the pets appreciate all the love. 

    We had a pretty low-key weekend. Went to see my friend perform at this jazz club Friday and then did some gardening Saturday. Sunday I host a baby shower for my SIL. It was so fun!

    It was good for the most part. DH and I relaxed a lot and got to spend some one on one time together, which was nice.

    Except, all of the sudden and out of nowhere, I started feeling awful.. I had a fever, a headache, and felt nauseous.  It was awful. I felt the same this morning and then...I started my period this morning. Right on time but I was hoping it would wait until I felt better, ha!

    Ours was AWESOME!!!!  H and I just got back from our SoCal getaway!  @photokitty, THANK YOU for those coupons and ideas!  We used several of them on Friday.  We hit 9 wineries total in a matter of 2 days (we spent 1 day cruising the coast - Laguna Beach & San Clemente).  We couldnt' get in to that one Italian restaurant @photokitty said we had to try, but we did make it to this amazing pizza place with their own beer.  Their mango hefeweizen was awesome!!!

    I just wanted to stay there forever!

    Glad everyone had a nice weekend! We planted a tree, his name is Wilson and hopefully I don't kill him. We also did some local travel to old mining towns in the area and an old mission which was awesome!

    My weekend was really good. Date with FI on Friday, Bachelorette on Saturday. I drank way too much on Saturday, so I spent yesterday pretty much just watching Friends and doing nothing.  But I think I'm back on track today.

    It's wedding week!! So I have to finish my seating chart and print up programs and table cards. But OMG. It's so close!

    Ha I love this! I planted some peonies the other weekend and they just started sprouting. I was out in the yard like a crazy person talking to them. "Oooh hey little guy; you're doing so great! Grow, grow, grow!"

    Nice to know I'm not the only crazy one! I say good morning to Henry every day and ask him how his lemons are coming along (lemon tree in the kitchen). I even feel the need to apologize to him if I know he won't get much sun that day.

    Really low key weekend.

    Saturday slept in, did a workout and then FI and I went for an 1.5 hour walk in the sunshine. came home, did some household chores and then had a lazy evening.

    Sunday was grocery shopping, another long walk as we can't get enough of this beautiful weather and then our usual sunday date night where we pick a new recipe to cook and drink a bunch of wine, cook and then watch Mad Men and Game of Thrones.

    I have a teeniny veggie garden growing, and I've got beans and onions poking up, and a little bit of zucchini too, as well as six tomato plants. I am out there every day encouraging them. 

    I also apologized to my flowery plant yesterday - I put it out to get some nice happy drizzly rain, and then it got DRENCHED when all of a sudden a storm blew up. I felt so bad for it. 

    So... either we're all three crazy, or none of us is! 

    My weekend was meh. It wasn't really chill, but it wasn't terrible. Next weekend we're going to meet with the officiant! Yay!

    Boring responsible adult weekend. Saturday had a meeting at the school FSS is going to next fall. I'm super excited he got in, it's an amazing school. Then went grocery shopping. I spent the rest of the evening and most of yesterday studying for my life insurance exam that's in 4 hours.

    I helped my friend with her Art show this weekend, and she had a successful show so I feel accomplished.

    And tired. We had so much alcohol this weekend. So. Much. Booze.

    I'm not going to be productive today.

    The bolded is the most important thing. I can tell in the picture that you feel confident in it which makes it even more beautiful. It's gorgeous!

    I had a super-productive weekend! On Saturday we rented a rototiller and doubled the size of our garden. Planted tomatoes, potatoes, more beets and carrots, fava beans (in addition to the broccoli, kale, beets, and peas we planted last month). Now we just need to get butternut, peppers, and corn in the ground!

    Yesterday my mom and I went to Joann and got fabric for the flower girl dresses (thankfully my mom is an extremely talented seamstress and volunteered to make the dresses). They will be a light pink/peach tulle with ivory lace overlay. Pretty happy about that. 

    Then I watched my Trail Blazers get stomped on by the Grizzlies. Boooo.

    Ours was good.  We had FI's company picnic at the zoo this weekend.  I love seeing the animals, but it's always a little depressing to me.  I haven't been to a lot of other zoos, but our animal enclosures seem super tiny. 

    Sunday was grocery shopping and basically being super lazy on a rainy day.

    Plainjain, that dress is freaking gorgeous; you look so beautiful!!

    We bought a house this weekend as well!! It's really daunting because 2 weeks ago we weren't even thinking of moving but a property came up that we just couldn't pass on. We had the home inspection today and it all looks great, just need to sign the fulfillment paperwork. Now to sell our house...
