tip etiquette for vendors

I am having a freelance makeup artist and hair person meet us the day of the wedding to our hair and makeup.  Since they are freelance, the fee I pay them is theirs to keep.  Do I still need to tip them?!

    I did tip my hair/makeup person for my trial and I plan to tip them at the wedding.  20% tip I did for my trial.  I looked this up...and I found the majority were in favor to tip for hair/makeup regardless if they own their own business.

    I always tip hair stylists and MUAs. Usually I tip at about 20% unless it's really crappy and/or not what I asked for.

    If you are happy with their service and feel they did a great job, no reason you can't tip them for a job well done.
