My fiance and I are both pie lovers and neither of us care much for cake. Our wedding is in October, so we are opting for pumpkin and apple pie rather than the traditional wedding cake. It's seasonally appropriate and it's more "us".
What I can't decide is how we should handle the cutting of the "cake" moment. I still want it to be a special moment but cutting into a one-tier pie feels... blasé.
Ideas?
