Bean Dip

Just wondering if I'm the only one that does this.. When reading these boards every time someone says "bean dip" I really just want a freaking jar of bean dip! I have eaten more bean dip since joining these boards than I have the rest of my life combined! 

I'm currently out, need to run to the store because I just read "bean dip" again!

    lol me too! 

    Recently we've been taking leftover taco stuff (which always includes black beans and/or refried beans) and mixing it all together to make dip, and it makes me think of TK every time. 

    ETA: when I first joined these boards I could not figure out why the knotties here were so obssessed with bean dip. I was like "Jeez... it's good but it's not THAT good. This is a community of people who constantly eat bean dip? Really?"

    @Maggie0829 I have never been a huge fan, I would eat it if it was out but i would never think to buy it until now!

    @novella1186 I thought the same thing! Then I think it turned into subliminal messaging and I buy it all the time!

    I don't really know what bean dip is.  I guess I think of 7 layer taco dip type of stuff - that sounds yummy.  Pulverized beans to dip in, notsomuch

    This is going to be really awkward but what the hell.... I have never had bean dip. At least not consciously. I have never even heard of bean dip until these boards. Since it gets mentioned all the time and seems to work wonders in distracting annoying people from annoying you, I figured it must be a super delicious dip. But I have yet to try it. How do you make it? Or you just buy it from the store, like hummus?

    This is so awkward and terrible ... When I was in seventh or eighth grade, the boys used to run around during recess and try to "jiggle" girls' boobs, kind of put their hand underneath and bounce it up, and when they did they would yell "BEAN DIP!" So, that's what I think of ...

    I don't even know what bean dip is. Like, just a bunch of mashed up beans that you dip shit in? Sounds gross.

    I'm eating bean dip now.

    My recipe: 1 can white beans, a handful of parsley, a bit of garlic (1/2 clove or more), lemon juice, olive oil. Blitz in the food processor.

    Shoveling it down with pita chips and baby carrots.

    I'll admit it, i'm good with the mashed up beans! Bought a jar of zesty cheese and bean dip yesterday and it pretty much rocked my world!
