YAY!  

Except I have to work this weekend.  BOO!

BUT, my mom is taking the kids to an indoor waterpark tomorrow.  And DH is going to help his dad stain his deck.  So I'll be alone...a rarity on a Saturday workday. 

Sunday, I work a couple hours and then I think we're going to Menards to price out minibarn stuff and get going on the plans.  We have just a few weeks before everyone will descend upon our house to help make this happen. 

The weather is supposed be perfect.  I can't wait for some open windows and deck drinking.  :D

    After I take Son to school, DD2 and I are heading to my hometown to meet my mom, sister, SIL and we are going for our dress fittings.  It should be a fun day.  I'm excited to see my dress.  I'm also getting a lesson on my sister's corset and bustle.  Ha.

    This weekend we have games both days.

    Monday Son starts the 3 day tryout process for the high school baseball team.  HIGH SCHOOL.

    STOP IT TAW!  THE BOYS ARE NOT GOING TO GROW UP!!

    My summer purpose is to find the way back machine and shove the kiddo into it.  ;) 
    (All 5'8.5" 166lbs of him...I can do it, even if he tries to fight me.  I'll Hulk that shit)

    Son had his physical yesterday.  5'11 175.  HE'S THE SIZE OF A FULL-GROWN MAN.

    And in true 13yo fashion:  he came home from school yesterday and was all "I need a physical by monday."  DUUUUUDE.  I suppose it's not his fault.  They just had the baseball meeting yesterday at school.

    How are you going to give 8th graders 1.5 days to get a physical?

    I had the same reaction when I took the kiddo to the doc on Monday.  I was like, HOW ARE YOU SO BIG?!  I mean, I've been buying him men's shoes and clothes for 2+ years, but to have it verified in a doctors office freaked me the hell out. 

    My mom said she had the kiddo with her in the car and they were talking, she put her hand on his leg and thought, "This is a MAN'S leg...Not a boy."  

    I have to look UP to yell at him now.  Dear lord.

    He's bigger than any man in my family.  Well, by height not weight.

    Today is gymnastics and Touch a Truck.

    Tomorrow the ILs are coming to take us to dinner "for DH's birthday."  They picked the restaurant.

    Sunday is DH's birthday.  I need to do something about a cake.  It might be ice cream cake.

    I have my Derby party tomorrow!  I'm rocking the hell outta my new hat and gloves and drinking mint juleps.  I do have to make a snack.  We have sort of a reputation with these folks.  I have some Derby Mint Julep cupcakes I've always wanted to make, out of my liquor dessert book.  That might be it.  It might also be a fruit tray.  With everything still whole.  Just eat the apple, alright?

    We might go to a music show tonight.  It's a friend's band, who are very good, and it's at a bar that is built on a creek.  So the bar is one one side, the creek, then the stage is across the creek.  It's an amazing set up, but lazy.  We'll see.

    Other than that, nothing much.

    This is my only Saturday off all month - and you guys just reminded me, I should see if I can get hair appointments for me and Bacon. 

    She's almost taller than I am now, and she's a S-M in Junior's sizes. She's 11. I predict that by the end of the summer, I'll be the shortest person in my house. :(

    DS comes home from Legoland tonight. He had a blast and says he misses us, but he said that while he was playing with his new Legos so I think he's lying. This weekend the plans include: cleaning the house, me going out for a friend's birthday, and going to celebrate DH's brother's birthday.

    Oh, and in the best of news- I found two bottles of wine! I knew that I had bought 2 bottles because I wanted to try keeping them in my wine fridge and "cellaring" them for a bit. But I opened the cupboard up where they were and there were two others I forgot about. It was like they had two babies, Albarino and Sauvignon Blanc, while they waited. It's better than finding a dollar in your pocket!
