It's been a whirlwind weekend!

To start, FI and I celebrated our two year anniversary together! As well on Friday, FI got a job offer and it's only 30 minutes from where I work!! He has a 90 day probation period so after that is over we are going to apartment hunt. So potentially we are four months from moving in together!! As well, we went over our budget with a fine tooth comb and if everything works out as planned, we could be getting married in September next year instead of December! So so happy and excited. (We don't have an official deposit down yet since the venue coordinator is out on maternity leave.)

Sooooo... I'm confused.

You went from December to September (on Saturday) and now May (as of yesterday)? Just an FYI - you don't have a date until you have a venue, and you can't secure a photographer until you have a date. I "knew" who I was going to have as a photographer, and when I contacted him IMMEDIATELY after we got engaged and set our date (a year out), he was already booked.

Also, did you or didn't you buy your dress?

Also what kind of venue does have a back-up coordinator when they have someone on maternity leave? And why wouldn't you run to another venue if there's only one venue coordinator? What would happen if she or her child were sick on the day of your wedding? Who covers for her?

Methinks something is not right with that venue....or they're pushing you to book at another venue by giving you the run-around.

This is also the second time you've been unable to book this venue (or maybe it was another one) because the coordinator was out of the office for a week+.

@GoldenPenguin I have not bought my dress yet. Also our photographer doesn't do many weddings. She's a smaller, only by word of mouth photographer.

I have also been unsure of venue. We are still looking around a bit. But because of the small wedding we're having, the places we're looking at don't do a lot of weddings and therefore don't fill up immediately.

Okay, but had your coordinator not gone on maternity leave, you would have put a deposit down on the last venue you loved. (Even though the story doesn't really make sense - there's no way a venue wouldn't accept a deposit just because a coordinator was on leave.)

It's a really good thing you haven't bought your dress. Because you change your mind so often, you'll have changed your mind 29983021 times between now and next May (or September, or December, or whenever you're saying your date is now.)

I agree with @twodimes. Maybe keep some of the wedding planning details in your thought bubble and not share them here? I know I am not on here everyday either, but I try to lurk and chime in on people's life events. I just think it's hard for people to get all excited and supportive when it's the same stuff each time too.
