Nautical Centerpiece

Hey everyone!
I'm getting married next May and having a nautical theme. However, I love the look of the tree slab as a base for centerpieces with mason jars. It's cute and also affordable. Do you think there's any way I could do this without running the nautical theme? Thanks for any suggestions!

Another thing you could tie in would be to comb vintage stores or garage sales (or even ebay) for any old brass nautical things: small telescopes, sextants, astrolabes, ships compasses, sundials, etc. Even better if they don't match and look antique! Have one on each table next to the vase/ribbon/knot suggestion above.  I bet you could get those for a steal and they would be very unique.
