Parasols for Bridesmaids

So I am trying to think of ways to save money on flowers...I am going back and forth between looking at new ways to do centerpieces (I originally wanted the tall vases with floating orchids and candles) or switching my bridesmaids to having parasols instead of bouquets. Has anyone used parasols for their bridesmaids? How did it all work out? Did it look good during the cermony, photos, etc?

Ive never done this, but I would imagine it would be beautiful, and helpful since the sun can be so hot! I think it's a great idea

We haven't married yet, but we are planning on parasols for the BMs and a few extra for my Mom and any other woman that don't want to be in the sun. I bought in our colors with prints so that they will add a little extra flare.

Maui dandy did this with hot pink parasols and it looked gorgeous. I had wanted to do it as well but just didn't want to transport them. If you can find her planning bio I think she may have pics up.

I am doing this. This was actually a good choice that my BMs were very happy about since it helped to shield them from the sun during our rehearsal! They will be carrying orange parasols over their shoulder an keeping them open during the ceremony. Plus they look gorgeous in the sunlight. Although I have a bouquet, I bought myself a fuschia parasol to contrast with their orange ones for pictures.

We did it! Saved a bunch of money and they were a lot of fun to take pics with. =D

Check out the ones at luna bazaar and the paper lantern store. Luna Bazaar works out of the east coast, so they recommended I go with the Paper Lantern Store (out of the West Coast) because I wanted everything to be shipped directly to Hawaii. I was all about saving money, but I really love all the colour selections from Luna Bazaar!
