I did my own makeup!!!  I already think I need to wing my eyeliner out more, maybe darken my contouring a little and possible pull a few tendrils of hair out to frame my face better.

Be honest, my sun-and-stars.

EDIT: I realize that those pictures don't show my makeup well in the lighting!

  • Look at you being all adorable!!

  • You're gorgeous! I agree about darkening the eyeliner a litte bit. Perhaps a lighter pink shade of lipstick?

You did such a good job. If you didn't say that you did it yourself, I definitely would've thought a professional did it.

  • I am jealousss of the shape of your eyebrows; would you consider making them a bit darker? Not everybody likes the look on them, but I think you could carry it fantastically. You're beautiful!

Thank you!!! It's honestly so hard to find a good red eyebrow pencil that I'm terrified to venture out. Those are darkened, LOL

    They are basically strawberry blonde

Hit up a makeup counter and see if they have a good recommendation for a pencil (or even a powder), maybe? Try it out at home, and if you hate it, wipe it off and nobody ever needs to know, haha. I just think bold brows always look so perfect with winged liner and a dark lip. Again, beautiful as is!

  • OOOH, you beautiful bitch, you! I agree, maybe a wee bit more of a wing with the eyeliner, otherwise I love it! Love the hair too!
  • You look so gorgeous!! Ditto PPs on the eyeliner, but

You look so pretty!!!!!  Honestly if you hadn't pointed out the eye-liner wing problem I wouldn't have noticed.

  • You look beautiful. I'd draw the eyeliner out slightly more.  Otherwise - perfect.

  • I love it. I wouldn't go any lighter on the lips, what you have is really perfect with your coloring.
    Beautiful.
  • Beautiful! I echo PPs on the eyeliner. I'm also a sucker for  a little bronzer under the cheek bones up to the temples to "contour" a little bit. Instead of pencil, I would look for a matte eye shadow or eyebrow powder (it's a bit softer).

  • I absolutely LOVE it.

First, you look amazing! Second, we need to swap beauty/make-up tips because our coloring is basically identical.

For eyebrows, my go-to pencil is Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Auburn. It's definitely the most red-tinted I can find. I get it at Sephora.

What are you using for foundation? I love the natural look with your freckles shining through!

I think your makeup looks great! It's very natural looking with just a little extra to translate better for pictures.

I agree that your eyeliner looks fine as is but could stand to be winged out a little more for a more dramatic effect.

To the bolded: I'm fair and redheaded also. For my eyebrows I use NYX nude matte eyeshadow in a medium to light brown color. It has a little red hint. And Japonesque eyebrow brush. I've noticed that by using a shadow, the effect isn't nearly as harsh looking as a pencil.

  • You look beautiful! I'm so jealous of all you natural redheads. I do agree with you and PPs about the eyeliner - a little more drama there would be nice, but otherwise gorgeous!

I adore your ... clip? Is that what it's called? Anyway, it looks ah-may-zing. I love it.

  • I use this pencil, and it has the perfect red tint:

In use extra heavy here (I normally go a little lighter):

Oh man thank you! I'll have to check that pencil out.

I use a stila concealer for zits and under-eye, and then

on top. I am blessed with really great skin, I know, but I think it might have something to do with the fact that I barely put makeup on my face. I think foundation just makes your skin problems worse, then you need more foundation. I tell my friends who think they need it to just use it for important days, when you need your skin to look good.

It's a comb and I made it. You can totally see the hot glue when you look close, LOL.

    Thanks :D

  • Hot damn girl! You look good! I am seriously jealous of your freckles and beautiful skin.

I think it looks great, but to photograph well you might take the blush and eyebrows up a notch.

  • Okay, I will up the drama! More brow, more eyeliner.

About the blush- My skins is actually super rosy and I never actually learned how to blush. As I'm getting older, it's sort of fading and now I'm learning blush! I'm thinking on my wedding day my face will probably flush because I'll be hot and nervous. I'm afraid to blush on top of that!

  • @larrygaga @emmaaa @ashley8918 I think we need to start a TK redhead beauty tips board! I love all the ideas and product references.

Here are some other products I use and like. I tend to gravitate toward coral pinks for lips and cheeks:
    L'Oreal True Match super-blendable make-up in classic ivory (N2)
L'Oreal True Match super-blendable blush in apricot kiss
Yves Saint Laurent lip stain in coral aquatique
Diorshow Iconic mascara in chestnut brown - it's really hard to find brown mascara, but I find that black and even black-brown is way too strong on me for everyday wear. This one meets criteria.
L'Oreal eye shadow in forest smokes - I have greenish-blue eyes, and this brings out the green! I also like the lavender smokes.

  • Holy damn, you are gorgeous! I love it!

I agree with PP (not to beat a dead horse) on the liner and brows. But other than that, perfection!

I know you did! I remember the thread where you were asking for thoughts on it. I just wanted to reiterate that it's absolutely gorgeous. :)

  • PPs have got it covered with recs but I just wanted to add that you look so pretty!!! So jealous and in love with your pretty red hair.
  • It looks great!  I'm always so jealous of people who can do their makeup so nicely!  I've been wearing mine the same since I was about 20 years old and pretty much suck at doing it any other way LOL
