You guys...I've finally discovered Pinterest. A year after I got married. And just before I move.

I want to MAKE ALL THE CRAFTS! I'm going crazy pinning decor ideas, and recipes, and "how to get Chipmunk's fat ass into shape" stuff.

Someone ply me with booze before I hurt myself on this self opening pinata of high expectations and  (likely) massive real life disappointments....

    I have a DIY board of 104 pins. I have done maybe 5 of them.


    I do find pinterest nice for visual interest. Oh, I like this kitchen, I'm going to pin it so when H and I design our kitchen, I can bring this up as a visual refernce.

    Oooo!  I LOVE Pinterest!
    I have 16 public boards and 6 private ones.  Some of them have duplicate pins, but I couldn't decide which board they fit on more.

    I love finding crafty projects and food.  I've got a few different craft project boards.  The main one without a "theme" has 260 pins.  Clicky

    My food board... it has 412 pins Food Clicky
    A lot are desserts, and a lot I haven't tried.  But one day I will!  And I'm going to create another board for reviews on successes and failures!

    I go through each pin and make sure it's a link that works and takes me to the actual thing, not just an image.  Sometimes I have to google for it to get the right stuff.  And then I make my own comments.  I spend way too much time on there.

    I have two food boards - a public one and a private one. The public one is recipes that I think sounds interesting. The private one is the ones I've actually made - I leave myself comments on what to modify in them the next time I try it. The first one has 412 pins. The second one has 23. So (if I've done my math correctly) - I've actually tried about 5.5% of what I think looks good...

    Ohhh Pinterest. How many hours of my life have you consumed in the past 5 years? Enough for over 3400 pins, evidently.

    I do actually make/do/buy a lot of the things I see there. Actually sometimes I'll be scrolling through old pins and see something that's now a staple or that I own and go "oh yeah, this is where I got that from!" Like a weird deja vu. 

    My pins lately are more dedicated to paint colors, kitchen materials (countertops and backsplashes), and little furniture pieces (coffee tables and whatnot). Trying not to go ape with the baby stuff. :)

    ...I go on Pinterest when cc is dead. I've got a teeny wedding board, a house stuff board, and not a whole hell of a lot else.

    All my used boards are secret except the house board. The other boards haven't been touched .... probably since Pinterest launched, haha.

    I really like Pinterest.  I have a few pinned recipes but I use it more for clothing inspiration and sewing or beading or decorating.  I have a future home board that includes crazy awesome stuff like dual shower heads and secret passageways and two ovens and a library complete with a rolling ladder.  I also have a secret maternity clothes board and a secret baby board.  I don't want any speculating family members because I'm not even pregnant!

    I finally broke down today too and made a wedding board. I was tired of having to remember how I found something on google to show to my mom or FI. Plus it seemed easier to just give my mom the link vs us sending a million pics back and foward through email.

    I have a lot of boards and pins. I seem to like pinning ideas more than actually doing anything.

    I love me some Pinterest.  I'm not a crafty person but I love to cook.    I have 31 boards, 20 of them are for food alone.  Apparently I have 3,404 pins altogether.  I also do work on the side doing finish work for flip houses, so I keep a few home design boards, plus individual boards for each project. 

    The wedding board is helpful too... Mine is shared with me, my MOH, my mom, and my aunt, who is doing my flowers.  That way whenever any of us sees an idea, we just pin it there so we can all see it.
