We get married three weeks from tomorrow and my 78 year old dad went to get fitted for his tux this week. He decided to get a royal blue vest and tie which doesn't at all go with our wedding colors. We only have a best man and MOH and they are in pale pink. Our venue decorations are pale pink and fuschia. The question is do i leave him be because he is 78 and doesn't know or care much about fashion or ask him to change it? I wouldn't care but am afraid it will look funny in pics.

    It's your father.  Let him wear what he wants! It doesn't matter if he doesn't "fit in" with your wedding colors.  Did you dictate the color dress your Mother could wear?
    My Dad is getting fitted for his tux and will wear what the BM and groomsmen are wearing.  If you didn't have something already picked out, then you're SOL.  I'd let it go.
    FWIW royal blue matches with fuchsia and pale pink

    I would not worry about it at all.  I mean, you can gently tell him it's not the color you have picked out and have already reserved his outfit and if he doesn't seem to care, you're all set.  But if he puts up a big stink, honestly, will it really matter?  You and your wedding party will still be stunning!  Your flowers and decor will still be beautiful!  And, all your pictures will have a story to tell about the man who wore bright blue!  What memories that will make!  You will be very grateful for the little "off-color" outfit in the years to come!  No one will remember your food, they may not even remember the decor, but they will remember you and your father.  What more can you ask for?

    I know this is an old post but just wanted to add...I hope he's sticking with the blue. Someday, hopefully a long time from now, you'll have quite the memory of your dad and his tux. :)
