Transport rsvp?

We haven't sealed our invite and the rsvp cards are post cards (no envelopes). Future father in law has offered to pay for a transport service but it requires rsvp. We were just notified now and we can't really print the invites. Is there another way to get the word out so we can get numbers or what would you

Re: Transport rsvp?

  • We set up a new email account just of the wedding.    We had an enclosure card that had some information which included transportation.  We asked them to RSVP to the special email if they were planning using the transportation.

We didn't put in on the RSVP card because while they knew there would be coming, their travel plans were not always confirmed.

I would print up an enclosure card or just a slip of paper mentioning the transportation information.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

We did something similar to @lyndausvi with an enclosure card with our website on it.

In regards to the transportation, we also need an RVSP to know how many drivers to book/what size vehicle(s) we will be needing.  We have a lot of OOT guests, and are providing transport to the wedding and the RD, the night before, as they will all also be invited. We have a dedicated 'wedding' email address, and we will send out an e-mail to those who will be attending the RD, asking them to confirm if they also plan on using the transportation that we will be providing.
