  Do what you want. It's your wedding, your decor, your flowers. As long as you're paying, you're the one who gets a say. Having white and red roses isn't going to hurt anyone or cause any etiquette gaffs.

  Not that it matters what other people think about your flowers and decorations, but they're wrong.  I think there is nothing wrong with colours like red and white for a wedding no matter what season.  Below are some images to maybe help you see that you were not wrong for thinking this:

  I don't know how these people are...I've never heard of roses not being in season. They seem to be the one flower you can always get regardless. Unless you re telling people I'm getting all summer season flowers, I don't know why they feel the need to offer their opinion. Get what you want as long as it's in your budget.
