Let's go shopping... What would you wear?

Hey guys, happy Friday!

I have a wedding to go to in August and I think I'd like to buy a new dress for it.. I recently learned that it will be outdoors (weather permitting) in the middle of the day, so I'm predicting it will be in the 80's with high humidity. Ceremony will be uncovered, reception in a tent... It's going to be sweaty but there is an option to go indoors to cool off if necessary. I'm thinking of getting a light-weight, light-colored dress in a shorter length... Sleeveless will probably be a must as I sweat a ridiculous amount when it's humid out.

Does anyone have any dresses they've been eyeballing lately that fit this criteria? Pictures are appreciated!

I also have a wedding to go to in August and have been searching for dresses. I always have good luck at Dressbarn, here are a few I was checking out. I ended up going with a three quarter sleeve lace dress from Nordstrom Rack because it's later in the evening and we are going to be mostly inside plus I am always cold.

These are all from Lulu's (I'm obsessed with that site!) Since the wedding is during the day, I'd do something a bit more casual, and maybe look for a looser, more flowy cut to help with the sweat issue.

I would definitely do sleeveless and try to do your hair up to keep you cool.

(I would be iffy on the blue and white striped dress a guest but it would depend on how it look in person)

@novella apparently I'm on a floral kick because I LOVE the halter one you posted. Lulu's is so affordable too!

@emmaaa I can't believe you would sabotage me like that! Clearly if I wore that striped dress the bride would get upset and throw red wine at me!!

Luckily my hair is short now (chopped it off RIGHT after the wedding!) so I won't have to worry about neck sweat.

@southernbelle0915 Agreed with the pattern idea... I am a little pissed that it's outside in the HOTTEST portion of the day but this is a dear, dear friend so I'm going to suck it up.

I'm not gonna lie, I just ordered it. There was only one size left and I can't tell if it will fit (I heard that Lulu's posted sizing is bogus) But fingers crossed! I have a feeling I'll need a plan B though.

It's super helpful to read all the reviews and look at the "customer pictures" (left below the dress pics). People review how it fits, where it's big, their shape & if it fit their shape, etc. Then you can order two sizes.

Then, make sure you provide a good review

Seriously, though, I've rented twice and they were both great. A friend has used them dozens of times with no issues.

As someone getting married in August mid-day {like 3pm}, I hope they have a tent.

LOVELOVELOVE that floral dress everyone else seems to love!

Anything flowy would be ideal. My granny got married in October, and it was a really warm day. Keep a close eye on the weather. Never hurts to have a light shawl or sweater {like a bolero} if you're going to be inside at all. A/C could be chilly {i plan on kidnapping my FI's jacket}
