If you receive a save the date, should you be invit d to the bridal shower along with the wedding?

    Nope.  You should be invited to the wedding, but that doesn't mean you should get a bridal shower invite also.

    The save the date is for the wedding only.  So just because you are invited to the "big show" doesn't mean that you will or should be invited to the other pre-wedding parties.

    No. being invited to the wedding is not an automatic invitation to the shower. Let's say you invite 200 people to your wedding. Would you expect to invite 200 people to the shower? Showers should be for people closest to the bride/groom/couple.
    What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

    The shower is only for the bride's closest friends and relatives. Some couples send STDs to every single guest invited to the wedding. STD means wedding invite, not shower.
