OMG, shut up

So one of my coworkers is in the hallway outside my office ranting to someone else about how they're taking "his" flag down from the statehouse in Columbia.  And he's going to take his own Confederate flag [of course he has his own], march around the statehouse with it, and then fly it above the state capitol himself.  And then he's going to "throw a rock at [SC governor] Nikki Haley."  I seriously want to call the SC secret service or whoever guards state governors, just to get this guy arrested so I don't have to listen to him anymore.

Oh, great, now he's moved on to his birther theories and the whole Barack Hussein Obama.  Time for a pointed door-shut.  "There's no Americans that want to run in politics anymore."  I guess Marco Rubio + Ted Cruz + Barack Obama have collectively blown his mind, despite all having been born in the US.

    Maybe I read this about somewhere else, but wasn't there a big KKK rally at the capitol planned? Maybe that is what he meant. UGH

    Ted Cruz actually was born in Canada though. 

    Many incorrectly assume one has to be born in a U.S. state or territory of two citizen parents to be a natural born citizen, but the term “natural born citizen” refers to citizenship at birth rather than through naturalization. The 14th Amendment States, "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside."

     Ted Cruz was not born in a U.S. state or territory, so he is not a birthright citizen under the 14th amendment. However, under the McCarran-Walter Act, he was still a born citizen, which makes him a natural born citizen.

    His mother was a citizen, at the time of his birth, his father was not.

    Rubio and Obama were born in FL and HI respectively.

    I have this mental image of border guards pushing Cruz back and forth over the line while yelling, "You take him!" "NO, YOU take him!"

    I went to a wedding this past weekend, and the sister-in-law of the groom wore daisy dukes with confederate flag pockets over her ass and a tanktop that exposed her midriff.

    All of that to say that the position of the flags, over an ass, was appropriate.

    It gets worse; his father is Cuban so he's really Cuban Canadian and yet he is still a birther!
