I live in NJ and work in NYC and  getting married in Austin. How crazy is that? I selected my photographers via the internet and by video conference. My parents met with them and then "after" I booked - I met them for engagments. I still love my choice. I did talk to AJH (I had a price point and after talking to so many - I narrowed it down to about 5) His prices are the same as the photographers that I selected, but I just didn't connect with him  which ended up being my deciding factor , but I did like his website and work. Plus, I figured if I could get two photographers for the same price - I was getting a bonus. Good luck in your hunt - it is not an easy choice.

I know this is a little late, but I though you would like to know.  My fiance and I fell in love with AJH Photography after looking online for months.  We called and made an appointment to drive down and meet him (we are in college 4 hours from Austin).  We do not go into Austin very often and he wanted us to meet at a specific Starbucks in Austin.  When we got to Austin we called him to make sure we were going to the correct Starbucks and he had forgot we even had an appointment!!!!  He tried to play it off and blame it on us.  Then he asked if we could wait around and meet him that night.  We did....and everything went great.  We thought okay everyone makes mistakes.  WRONG!  We asked him to send us a contract and it was missing a ton of info.  After that we decided NOT to go with him!!
