Saw on fb someone got married in a surprise ceremony. They were apparently throwing an engagement party for themselves and decided to do a surprise wedding at the party (I assumed they threw it since it was at their house but I guess someone else could have hosted). Anyway in looking at the pictures she posted I saw this:
We missed out on bachelor parties and showers,
But at least we have good friends, family, and flowers.
We thought a surprise would be more fun,
But if you would like to mail a gift, please take one.
There's a pile of either envelopes or cards with their address (can't tell from the pic). Aside from This it looks like a hosted event, etc but this jumped out at me. And it isn't like everyone wouldn't have their address anyway since they showed up at the couple's house it is just a blatant gift grab since they didn't have the other "traditional" wedding events but of course want gifts. A poem always makes it ok though
