Bathroom baskets

I've been lurking and saw a post on bathroom baskets. We are having the reception in the hotel most guests are staying so I don't think a lot of it will get used but I do want a small supply of things. I definitely want flossers and mints. What else do you recommend adding? What have you used at a wedding?

  • People do these things?

  • This is what we are doing:

    Ladies:
    -Tampons/pads
    -hairspray
    -static guard
-clear nail polish (for runs in hose)
    -lint roller
    -floss picks
    -mints
    -tums
    -Tylenol
    -bandaids
    -bobbypins
    -hair ties
    -disposable combs
-scented body mist (couldn't find spray on deodorant)
    -tide pen

    Mens:
    -Tylenol
    -Tums
    -Bandaids
    -floss picks
    -mints
    -lint roller
    -tide pen
    -men's scented body spray

  • Haha, this was one of those wedding details that I had totally planned on doing but fell through the cracks during that crazy final week and didn't end up happening. I don't think it mattered one bit.
  • I know it's completely unnecessary but I always enjoy them when I attend a wedding so I definitely want to do it. But since most people will have their own deodorant, toothbrushes, etc just an elevator away, I'm going to keep it simple

We're doing all this, plus safety pins and a mini sewing kit. Friends of mine had that in their kit at their wedding and it saved me big time when the strap on my dress broke!

Same here. And when I really thought about it - as a guest to any event, I always bring what I think I'm going to need.  I don't think I've ever touched a bathroom basket in my life!
  • Tide pens, tide pens, tide pens! We also had small sewing kits, safety pins, q-tips, mints, tissues and hand sanitizer. The bathrooms at our venue were pretty basic (clean and functional, but essentially public bathrooms at an outdoor monument), so we also brought some nicer paper materials. I never expect weddings to have bathroom kits, but I have often appreciated then when they're there, especially if the event is more formal. I usually have a ton of stuff like that in my purse, but most "formal" bags don't have room for much more than cash and maybe lipstick.

Yup, I had pretty much the same exact items in mine. I just added eye drops to them. I knew it wasn't a necessity, but since I had some time before the wedding, I decided to make them. I think they're a nice touch :) Oh and I had tide sticks, too.
