I'm thinking about renting my wedding dress... thoughts?

I really do not want to spend a lot of money on a dress. However, I don't want some super generic looking thing either. I've thought about renting, but scared about not being able to go try things on. Do you all have any thoughts on this?

    You can try on wedding dress rentals. Lots of rental places will even alter them for you as part of the cost of renting the dress. Only of my bridesmaids almost did this for her wedding but ended up buying her dress instead because it ended up not being much more expensive than renting.
