Does anyone have a simplehuman trash can?

I'm eyeing one of the kitchen ones, and I'm wondering if you really need to use their custom trash bags, or if any old bag will work? Some people on Amazon said they returned theirs due to the custom bags, other people have said that they have successfully used them with standard trash bags. I trust y'all's opinions more than some randos on Amazon, so I wanted to see if anyone has experience with these? TIA and all that.

I have one and I do really like it. I bought the special bags the first time around then got smart and went to regular ones

We have one and just use regular bags. I can't tell the difference between the special fitted and regular bags, honestly.

I do and yes, regular bags will work. I find the Glad forceflex (or store brand equivalent) work the best in mine.

We got one about a year ago that we registered for, it as a rectangular shaped one versus a round or square. We love it. We also use the Glad forceflex with no problems.

i think we have one, but we've had ours forever. we just use regular trash bags.

Thanks, everyone. I really like they way they look (ours is currently in a cabinet, but we'd keep this one out), but I had misgivings about having to make a special trip for special bags. As long as they can use normal ones, I'm going for it.
