Got my dress! Need shoe & accessory help.

I got this beautiful vintage dress from modcloth for my partner and I's elopement in October: http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/gilded-grace-dress-in-champagne

I am absolutely in love with it but I have no clue how to accessorize or even what shoes to pair with it. The decorations where we are getting it done are going to be the same champagne of my dress and then also navy blue. My partner is going to be wearing a navy blue dress herself. Thus I am torn right now between sticking with the theme and getting some cute navy blue pumps or going for a little more flair with a red velvet pair or even a metallic gold or also a nude/beige color. I am also open to suggestions on other colors.

Also, what should I do for jewelry and for some sort of veil?

Beautiful dress! I would go minimalistic on both jewelry and a veil. Maybe small drop earrings and a simple raw-edged veil. I think you could do pumps in any color, but if it were me, I'd do navy or nude.

I'd go with gold or nude shoes. No glitter. For earrings, I'd do a little sparkle in the form of large crystal studs. I'd be tempted not to wear a veil, but if you want one, I'd make it a short one. If your hair is long and you're going to wear it up, I'd opt for some bling with a barrette or pin.

I'm loving on that dress so hard!! I agree w/ gold (but not glitter) or nude shoes. I also think a birdcage veil would be awesome.

Thanks for the responses! I think I am leaning towards navy blue pumps to go with the theme. It depends on the style now. I think I'm gonna do a peep toe with a bow on them or I may do a t-strap pair. I didn't think of a blinged out barrette so I might go with that now since my hair is long and more than likely going to be up. I was also thinking of a birdcage veil.

Unless you're tall, I wouldn't do navy shoes. But that's just personal preference as colored shoes cut you off at the ankles and make you look shorter.

But since you explained that you're 6'3, have you considered flats in navy blue? What about ivory colored pearl earrings?

I actually enjoy heels quite much and my partner doesn't mind that I tower over her. I have been considering pearls as well, it depends on if I wear my hair up or down to wear earrings.

Honestly I think red would work too. Red looks lovely with goldish colors.

That's true. The only thing I worry about with the red is that it would be a red white and blue wedding then pretty much and it would feel too patriotic for an October wedding.

What about a deep burgundy? Very appropriate for October and looks nice with champagne and navy.

That's kinda what I was thinking but not as dark. I was thinking like a deep red with a velvet material to make it not as loud of a red.

I thinka burgundy is the perfect solution if you want to go with a red, but I agree that a navy or nude is probably the best choice.

I love the idea of a birdcage veil, but since you're thinking of going a little more minimalist with your jewelry I would go with something flashier for the veil then that etsy choice above.
